How do I care for my pen?
Wood Pens: To care for your pen, a gentle wipe with a dry cloth keeps the pen clean, if you wish to go a step further a natural wax polish should clear any wear marks. Personally, I prefer to use the pen and let the wear of the waxes and shellac create an almost leathery, matte surface which has better grip to the hand and holds up for years of hard writing.
Resin Pens: Simply wipe over with a soft cloth.

Where can I buy refills?
Ink refills are commonly sold in all major stationary stores.
Dickens Pens (rollerball) – Schmidt style ink refill
Bronte Pens (ballpoint) – Parker style ink refill
Notetaker/Sawyer Pens (ballpoint) – Cross Style ink refill


May I place a special order for a pen?
Yes, we try where possible to accommodate custom orders depending on the availability of wood stock, pen type and deadline. Drop us a line at hello@augustpens.com


What payment methods are accepted?
Payment is made securely via PayPal.

What currency are your prices in?
All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD). 


Postage via Australia Posts Parcel Post service is included in the price of your purchase. If you would like your pen sent via Express Post you can select the option at checkout. Extra charges will apply.

Where do you ship?
Australia wide via Australia Post.

When will my order ship?
Orders will be shipped within 3 business days.

How long will may order take to deliver?
Parcel Post: allow 5-7 business days for delivery within Australia.
Express Post: allow 2-3 business days for delivery within Australia.

Order tracking
Orders are sent via Australia Post. An article number will be provided with an email confirming that your goods have been sent. The article ID number will allow you to track your goods online.


Quality Control
We pack all our shipments ourselves and carefully check the products before dispatching. We take all reasonable measures to ensure we do not dispatch faulty goods and carefully package our items. If there is a problem upon arrival of your package, please contact us soon as possible after receiving your goods.

We do our best to accurately depict the product online but please be aware some colours may vary from screen to screen. 

Guaranties & Warrantees
We guarantee our products for fault for a period of 12 months. We do not guarantee changes in the colour and grain of the wood as it is the nature of wood patina to change with age and wear. If you experience any faults with your product please contact us via email HELLO@AUGUSTPENS.COM to discuss the option of exchanging the product or returning for a refund. 

Exchanges, returns and refunds
We stand behind our carefully crafted pens and we hope you love and get many years of enjoyment from yours. We want you to be completely happy with your purchase and if you have any concerns or questions, feel free to contact us for a chat. If you are not satisfied with your purchase please get in touch via email HELLO@AUGUSTPENS.COM within 7 days of delivery and we can discuss the option of exchanging the product or returning for a refund. 

Cancellation of orders
Orders that are cancelled within 24 hours of payment confirmation will be eligible for a full refund. Any cancellations made after 24 hours will not be eligible for a refund other than of the shipping costs.

How do you make them?
By hand, one at a time on a wood turners lathe. It’s a lengthy process of cutting wood pieces, building the barrels, turning the wood into shape and applying the oils (the fun stuff), and assembling the pen with the mechanisms, trim and ink.
